About the event
Keep Moving Forward: A PT Toolbox for Life After Brain Injury and Stroke
Living with the long-term effects of a brain injury or stroke can create ongoing challenges with movement, balance, mobility, and confidence. Dr. Jamie L. Jackson will share practical, evidence-informed strategies to help survivors and caregivers approach everyday activity safely and purposefully.
Participants will learn how to:
Communicate proactively with their healthcare and rehabilitation team about activity, mobility, personal goals, and changing needs.
Use meaningful everyday activities as opportunities to practice movement.
Find an appropriate level of challenge while recognizing when reassessment or additional support may be needed.
